Character Standing Up / Diego Uscátegui

Hi people, here is my last pass of the character standing up.
I basically did a shorter version ( now he takes less time to slap the fly, and also the insect is not bouncing on the ground after it gets hit ) and also did a different work with his legs and feet at the end. (They are not dragging anymore).
Anyway, here it is so feel free to comment and give me some critiques.

Remus_Stand_Blocking

Hey guys and gals.

I decided to go with the raft idea. Forgive me for some really rough poses in there, but I didn't want to spend too much time on something that might need changes. I hope the basic idea is clear enough. I have temporary seagulls in there since I'm still working on modding a seagull rig to use. They'll be pecking at his shoes and ears until startled away.

Feedback always welcome :)

Niz_Stand_Blocking

Hey everyone, I've reached a bump in my camera angles and would love some feedback-- here are two version. Without telling you which one I favor, please let me know what you think. [Sidenote: the cube is character II -- small child, and there is sound].

I hope everyone's stand/sit assignments are going well. Here's a bit of inspiration courtesy of the masters at Disney (sorry I didn't post it earlier, its been a busy week)

I believe these tests are successful because they are specific to each character. If you have a character in your mind when you're animating what would otherwise be a very dull physical exercise, you can really plus your assignment if you spend that extra time asking yourself the Who What and Where.

Happy animating!

Greg P - Sit Stand Blocking

Hey guys! I've been working on my Sit-Stand blocking... Anyone have any notes? I'm thinking it maybe too fast and in need of some slower moments/holds. This does count as a sit and stand right?

Kyle Remus Stand/Sit Idea

Hi guys and gals! I hope your assignments are going well.

I sort of roughed in a layout pass on my stand up/sit down idea, but I'm not entirely happy with it. It's kinda boring - currently working on another pass with some more entertaining ideas (if you have any, shoot), hopefully will have that to show in class.

But, in any case, this is what I've been working on. I think I'll keep the setting, if I may. But give him something more interesting to do, like get run over by an aircraft carrier or something...lol.
